The Free Union Belt by Ledbury

On December 26, 2011, in Belts, Mens, by Ryan & Ben

Hopefully everyone had a great Christmas with friends and family, we certainly did.  Unfortunately for us, it is back to business as usual today, but luckily things are a bit slow and we have some time to cruise around the web and pick up a couple of things that we didn’t find under the tree yesterday.  The first order of business comes from our friends at Ledbury.  Their Free Union Belt ($165) is about to become a late gift to ourselves.

The Free Union Belt is the inaugural piece of Ledbury’s Commonwealth Collection, a collection that celebrates the work of Virginia artisans.  Made in collaboration with Marcus Wiley of Wiley Belts, the Free Union is made of extremely high quality English bridle leather and is a fantastic tobacco color.  Beyond all the hand work that goes into getting the leather strap just right, the absolute best part about this belt is the buckle.  Made of white bronze that looks even better as it ages, the buckle has a unique quick release that you would be hard pressed to find anywhere else.  If the Free Union Belt is any indication, we think it is safe to say that the Commonwealth Collection is going to be a huge success.
