Fair Isle Sweater by J. Crew

On November 19, 2011, in Mens, Sweaters, by Ryan & Ben

This time of year, our Saturday uniform consists primarily of jeans, a button down, and a sweater of some sort.  Whether it is a classic cable knit, a simple cardigan, or something else, there is just something about throwing on a sweater on a cool Fall morning that feels right.  On a recent trip to J. Crew, our attention was immediately drawn to the Fair Isle Sweater in Navy ($98).  We have a feeling this one will be coming home very, very, soon.

Made of a remarkably soft lambswool, the Fair Isle Sweater looks fantastic paired with everything from jeans to cords to chinos.  Featuring a red and white geometric motif on a navy base, the sweater is a nice change of pace if you are looking for something a bit different than  a classic cable knit, yet certainly not far enough out there to leave you feeling like you are rocking a “Cosby Sweater.”  Whether you throw it on over your favorite button down, or just a t-shirt, you will love how this sweater looks.
