This past weekend, we saw something we weren’t too happy about, snow.  Luckily, nothing stuck to the ground here in Annapolis, but to say that it was a bit disheartening to see the white stuff so early in the year would be an understatement.  One thing we were happy to see this weekend was the reintroduction of the sweater dress to many girls’ wardrobes.  If you are looking for a new one this season, the Helena ($198) by Lilly Pulitzer is a great pick.

Made of a soft merino wool, the Helena is a great pick for those days that you want to look like you spent far more time getting ready than you actually did.  Available only in True Navy and featuring a double ruffle hem and cuffs, the dress is a piece that matches nearly everything, and can be accented quite easily with the likes of a brightly colored scarf (as shown), or a contrasting belt.  Paired with anything from a flashy pair of heels, to a more low key pair of flats, the Helena is a dress that can truly be worn for nearly any occasion.
