With temperatures dropping, and Fall in full swing, our favorite jackets, sweaters, and fleeces are all back in regular rotation. A few weeks ago,  TJ from Coast Apparel dropped us a line and asked us if we would like to take a look at the their Fleece Pullover ($98.50). At Bows & Boats we always love to check out new companies, so naturally we jumped at the opportunity. Based in Pawley’s Island, SC, Coast aims to integrate the coastal way of life into everyday clothing.  Needless to say, we think that  they have absolutely succeeded.

Upon opening the package from Coast, our immediate impression was that their fleece would be ideal as a layering piece. Available as a pullover or vest, and made of double sided polyester featuring navy nylon trim and pockets on all three color choices (Buoy Red, Navy, and Weathered Sail), the Coast Fleece Pullover is reminiscent of a Patagonia pullover, but tailored to fit climates that don’t reach temperatures of sub-arctic levels on a regular basis. With simple branding (“Coast” in contrasting blue on the pocket, and their signature blue crab on the neck), and classic color choices, these fleeces look great with everything from jeans and a tee shirt to khakis and a button down. After wearing the pullover regularly over the past couple of weeks, we think it is safe to say that this fleece will be a mainstay in our cool weather rotation for years to come.
