Well, it is official, the leaves around Annapolis are beginning to turn.  They aren’t screaming orange just yet, but it is only a matter of time before we are back to raking leaves and wondering where summer went.  Unfortunately, that means that it will soon be a bit too chilly to rock our beloved boatshoes.  Fortunately, it is a reason for us to add some new boots to the rotation.  One option that we have been drooling over for quite some time now is the Hunt Boot ($376) from our friends at Oak Street Bootmakers.

As with the rest of the Oak Street line, the Hunt Boots are handmade in Maine out of the highest quality materials.  Available in brown or navy, the boots feature a Horween® Chromexcel® leather upper paired with a vibram sole.  With rawhide laces and waxed stitching, these boots feature the same hand-stitched moccasin construction that we have come to love from Oak Street.  One small touch that we really like is that the leather that is on the top of the foot extends just over the seam for a bit of extra protection from the elements.  Whether you are a hunter or not, the Hunt Boots from Oak Street Bootmakers will be a welcomed addition to any shoe rotation.
