Gosling’s Belt by Knot Belt Co.

On August 27, 2011, in Accessories, Mens, by Ryan & Ben

Well, evacuations are in full effect up and down the East Coast, and we are about to feel the full wrath of Irene here in Annapolis.  Of course, that means that the flashlights are equipped with fresh batteries, the cabinets are stocked with plenty of food, and the bar is ready for any hurricane parties that might break out amidst the madness.  Now, all we can do is wait, and what better way to kill some time than to throw on a Gosling’s belt ($38) from Knot Belt Co. (shown), and mix up a a Dark ‘n Stormy or two.

Knot partnered with Gosling’s Black Seal Rum to produce this officially licensed belt, and we can’t think of a better time to break it out.  While Gosling’s comes from Bermuda, the belt is made right here in the US.  Featuring top quality ribbon and hardware, it is a great option whether a hurricane is on the way or not.  Now that you know about the belt, let’s talk about mixing up a Dark ‘n Stormy.  Below you will find the official Gosling’s recipe.

  • 1 1/2 oz Gosling’s Black Seal Rum
  • 4-5 oz Gosling’s Stormy Ginger Beer
  • Lemon or Lime for garnish

Making a Dark ‘n Stormy is easy, all you need to do is fill a tall glass with ice, add your beer, and top it off with the rum and your garnish of choice and you will be all set.  Enjoy!

dark n’ stormies are an institution! but, the only proper dark n’ stormy is made with barritt’s ginger beer, not gosling’s version.
