Timex Andros for J.Crew

On July 26, 2011, in Accessories, by Ryan & Ben

A collaboration from two established companies is always something we take an interest in, especially when it comes from two companies that we have always liked.  While some collaborations can go south pretty quickly, we are yet to see one from J. Crew and Timex that we have not loved.  Last week, the brands came together once again to announce their latest brainchild, the Andros Watch ($175).

Featuring the simplicity of a classic dive watch, the Andros has a timeless appeal.  With a stainless steel case and quartz analog movement, this is a watch that will give those that are ridiculously more expensive a run for their money.  Water-resistant up to 100 meters, you won’t have to worry about leaving this timepiece at the docks if you are heading out for a day on the water.  We love the casual look of the Andros with the navy nylon strap that it has been packaged with, but we won’t be shocked if we see some people swapping it out for a stainless band for a bit dressier look.  No matter what type of band is paired with the Andros, we have a feeling that it is going to become the watch of choice for many in the coming months.
