Charleston is high on our list of favorite places in the US.  From historical sites like Ft. Sumter, to golf at nearby Kiawah, to shopping on King Street, it is a town that can keep you busy for days on end.  On the flip side, Charleston is also a place where you can go to simply relax and enjoy the southern hospitality for a few days and recharge your batteries.  Even though we haven’t been to visit in a few years, our memories of Charleston come rushing back every time we tie on the Charleston Toile Beau ($45) from Starboard Clothing Co.

If you aren’t familiar with Toile, it is probably because it is rarely used in the world of fashion.  Traditionally used for things like curtains or upholstery, Toile features a relatively ornate scene repeated on a white or off white base.  Starboard elected to keep things classic with a deep blue on cream colorway that looks fantastic paired with a variety of shirt colors.  Though the pattern is repeating, due to the way bowties are made, each Charleston Toile Beau is unique.  Even if you aren’t strolling The Battery, this bow will certainly put you in a Charleston state of mind.
