Shop Profile: H. Stockton Atlanta

On July 7, 2011, in Shop Profiles, by Ryan & Ben

Whenever we travel, we make every effort possible to visit a few local menswear stores.  While we have a pretty good idea what will be found at national chain stores regardless of the location, there always seem to be some hidden gems at more local establishments.  Prior to a trip to Atlanta a few weeks back, we turned to Twitter and asked our followers where we should stop.  We got a number of great suggestions, and checked out as many as we could.  One store that really stood out was H. Stockton.

H. Stockton opened their doors in 1963 in downtown Atlanta.  In the last 47 years, they have expanded to four locations in the area, and each is extremely well stocked.  While we were not able to visit all four stores, we are confident that you will not be disappointed no matter which you are able to check out.  One thing that truly sets H. Stockton apart from their competition is their level of customer service.  Not only is the staff extremely friendly, they dress like employees of a high end men’s shop should.  Instead of the ill fitting suits that seem to plague so many retail employees, these guys are dialed in from head to toe.  H. Stockton is one of those stores that you could literally stock your entire closet with.  With casual wear from brands like Southern Tide, Vineyard Vines, and Bills Khakis, to suits from the likes of Hickey Freeman etc., it is nearly impossible to walk out of an H. Stockton store empty handed.  If you ever find yourself with some spare time in Atlanta, we highly recommend stopping in for a visit.
