In late 2013, the guys at Category 5 had a successful Kickstarter campaign that allowed them to add some color to their collection in the form of the Helmsman Boatshoes. We backed the campaign and picked up a black pair which saw heavy wear all of last year. Now, thanks to a huge sale, we may end up picking up the other three colors of the Helmsman as well. At only $56, it’ll be tough not to.
To be honest, we’re not sure what the fate of the Helsman is going to be, but we’ve been nothing but impressed with our black pair, and we’re looking forward to having a couple more pairs to turn to this Summer. The classic Navy will work in well for day to day wear, and the bold Island Red and Royal Blue options are perfect for those times when a little extra pop is needed. Regardless of what color your prefer, act fast. There’s no way these prices will be around for long.
