A couple of years back, we stumbled across the Rancourt & Co. Pinch Penny Loafers, and virtually immediately we realized there was a gap in our footwear collection that we never knew existed.  At first glance, we were enamored with the Color 8 Chromexcel version that sported a honey colored sole.  It’s still one of our favorites in their collection, but lately we’ve had our eye on the Natural option.

Handmade in Maine from fine Horween leather, the Natural color Rancourt chose to use for this pair of shoes is one that we love for more casual affairs.  Pair that Natural leather with a brick red sole, and you’ll have a pair of shoes that certainly aren’t traditional, but aren’t so far out there that you’ll feel like your putting on a statement piece when you wear them.  Made to order, by some of the finest craftsmen in the business, it may take a few weeks to get a pair of these bad boys, but we’re sure they’ll be worth the wait.  If you’re looking for something that is just a step up from your trusty boatshoes on the dressy scale, this is the way to go.
