With steeplechase season in full swing, Memorial Day right around the corner, and Summer creeping up on us at lightning speed, our coolers are about to go back to work in a serious way.  Of course, we all have that one cooler that has become a go to over the years.  For us, it’s a Yeti Tundra 45.  We’re big fans of Yeti’s entire collection, but this one is the perfect size for events big or small.  The post below originally ran on July 6, 2013.

We put our coolers through a lot this time of year.  From days on the boat, to days on the beach, to the occasional tailgate before a Summer concert, they’ve been seeing some pretty heavy use lately.  Luckily for us, the Tundra 45 from Yeti is up for anything we throw at it and then some.

From foam that is two to three times as thick as most coolers, to seals that look like something you’d find on a commercial freezer, to a leak free drain plug, Yeti has literally put thought into every detail of this cooler to make sure the contents stay cold for as long as absolutely possible.  Currently available in three colors (White, Desert Tan, and the just released Ice Blue), the Tundra 45 is big enough for a day full of events, but not so big that it becomes a pain to carry to and from your destination.  Whether you need something for a Summer jam packed with activity, or for Fall weekends on campus, you will not go wrong with a Tundra 45.
