Recently, Southern Proper released a line of hats that celebrate three things that we’ve absolutely spent more time than we probably should have researching; SEC Football, Bourbon, and the Masters.

We normally reserve our bowtie posts for Fridays, but today’s feature item just couldn’t wait. We knew it was coming down the pipeline, but when Ken Rosenthal announced yesterday that he would be wearing a BowTie Cause bow supporting the LUNGevity Foundation this week, we wanted to get something out about the bow ASAP.

We’re always up for a new adventure, and for those that take place outdoors L.L. Bean is one of our first stops to gear up. Though function is our top priority, we’ll be the first to admit that looks do come in to play at least a little bit when we are picking our wares. Luckily, a number of L.L. Bean classics have been given the L.L. Bean Signature treatment over the last few years, and their recently released Washed Twill Field Shirt is one that we were happy to see get said Signature makeover.

Many brands do their best to add pieces to their collection that have a bit of a vintage feel to them, but few are successful every single time. One that has absolutely hit the nail on the head when it comes to a vintage aesthetic across the board is Criquet. You already know about their Players Shirts, but have you seen the hats they’ve released over the last couple of months?

Happy August, friends! Time has absolutely flown by this year, and before we know it we’ll be packing up our summer bows and breaking out the wool. In the meantime, we’re going to be making a conscious effort to wear as many of our favorite cotton bows as possible, and maybe add a new tie or two to the rotation so we’re all set when next Summer roles around. One bow that’s really caught our attention recently is the Pimm’s Paisley Reversible from High Cotton Ties.
