Our relationship with the color black as it pertains to wardrobe choices has evolved quite a bit over the last couple of years. For quite some time, the only time you’d see us wearing it was at a black tie event or the occasional sporting event. That certainly isn’t the case anymore, and soon we’ll be working the hue into our bowtie collection thanks to High Cotton Ties’ just released Black Gingham bow.
Though J. Crew continues to introduce more fashion forward pieces with each season, we still find ourselves stopping in time and time again to check out the more classic pieces in their collection. Luckily for us, even with the recent focus on trendier options, there are still plenty of timeless options for us to choose from. For example, the Lambswool v-neck sweater.
As seersucker goes away corduroy comes out, and every year we find ourselves on the hunt for another pair or two of corduroy pants to supplement our rotation. This year, one pair that we’ll definitely be picking up comes from Bonobos. Their Light Brown French Corders look fantastic.
Our friends up at F.L. Woods truly live and breathe the sailing lifestyle. The pictures we see of them on the water are simply fantastic, and always leave us wanting to take a quick trip up to Marblehead to visit. We won’t be able to make it up anytime soon, but we are going to bring a piece of Marblehead down to Annapolis this Fall thanks to the F.L. Woods Sailor Sweater.
Just before Memorial Day we were happy to announce that we’d teamed up with our friends at Old Try on a print called Bow’d Glory. Well, Summer has flown by faster than we could have imagined, it it looks like the prints are moving just about as quickly. There are still a few left, and we figured today was as good a day as any to send out a friendly reminder that once these are gone, the odds of them coming back again are pretty slim.
Now that our shamless plug is out of the way, Happy Labor Day!
