This may just be our favorite week of the year when it comes to sports.  The NCAA Championship Game, Opening Day, and The Masters all in the course of one week.  We love college hoops, and we’ll probably both watch more than 100 baseball games this year, but if we had to pick one event to watch this week, it’s The Masters.  No question. Whether you’re lucky enough to be going through the gates at Augusta National this year, or you’ll be watching from afar like us, you need to look the part.

First, you’ll need a great polo.  Of course, we’re turning to Criquet for this one.  Their Players Polo looks just as good on the course today as it would have back when Jack and Arnold were in their heyday.  You don’t always have to go green or yellow when it comes to a Masters look, so we’re going with Better Off Red this week.

Next up, a bulletproof pair of khaki shorts.  We’d probably go with something a bit different if we were playing a round, but the Stone Dalton Shorts from Jack Donnelly are perfect for a day spent eating pimento cheese sandwiches and enjoying the action.

For shoes, keep things simple with a pair of Nylites.  The white/white version above works just fine, but we hear Sid Mashburn has a White/Green pair that would be even better.

You’ll also need to accessorize accordingly.  While we frown upon those who wear current tour concert tees to a show, you get a pass at The Masters.  Don’t go all out, but a piece or two with the Augusta National logo will be just fine.  For us, that means the Smathers & Branson needlepoint belt that some great friends secured for us after we missed our chance to pick one up.  Then, a pair of shades that will do he trick but not be missed too terribly if they end up becoming a casualty of the day’s events.  That means Knockarounds, probably polarized Mile Highs.  Grab your favorite hat on your way out the door, or pick one up at the hat shack when you get there, and you’ll be all set for an unforgettable day in Augusta.
