Just up the road from us in Baltimore, Under Armour continues to come up with some of the best sports gear on the market.  They’re also turning out some fantastic “lifestyle” pieces as of late.  Luckily for us, we get to see the latest and greatest from their collections as soon as they hit the market at their flagship store in Baltimore.  On a recent visit, we finally got around to trying on a pair of Performance Chino Shorts.

From a distance, the Performance Chino Shorts look like standard chino shorts, but once you get up close you’ll see they’re anything but.  Made from a super comfortable 4 way stretch fabric that allows for plenty of movement, UA considers these shorts part of their Loose fit collection, but we found them to be a bit more trim than most of the classic chino shorts on the market these days.  To say the fit was a pleasant surprised would be an understatement.  To be honest, we’d been avoiding trying these shorts on because the inseam (11″) is a bit longer than we prefer.  After trying them on, we were sold, and after a quick trip to our favorite tailor, they’re are going to see some serious wear.  Paired with a t-shirt and flip flops, or a polo and boatshoes, the UA Performance Chinos are definitely a solid pick.
